This is another tricky type of wager. It is tricky in the sense that the punter/bettor needs to be very precise with the outcome of a football match. This wager normally has so many options available for a player to choose from. It is better if I just list a few of those options and maybe describe one or two of them.
The options include “1-0”, “0-0”, “1-1”, “2-1”, “3-1”,”2-2”,”2-3”, “3-3”, and so much more. Normally, the established bookies do list up to the “6-6” and leave one last option of “any other score” open for any results that might happen and yet it has not been listed in the option lists. The odds for the correct score are obviously high since the chances of getting them right are always way below the 50% mark.
Hence, what “1-0” means is that the gambler has predicted that the match will end up in a 1 nil in favour of the home team. The “0-0” option means that the player has predicted that the match will end up in a barren draw at the end of the 90 minute of the game. The same goes on and on for the other option listed under the “correct score” wager. The last option that is normally given is “any other score” which gathers for any other results that might happen. The results might be something like “7-0”, or “8-2”, or “7-2” or really anything else. All these will fall under the “any other score” option.
The results of the “correct score” wager are always considered after the end of the 90 minutes of a football match and plus maybe some few added time. If the match proceeds to the extra time or to a penalty shootout, those results will not be considered at all.
