Bonuses, Bets & Promotions
We’ve already alluded to the fact that Coral doesn’t hold back when it comes to promotions. However, you really have to check out the sheer magnitude of the offers on the promotional pages to truly appreciate what’s available here. There were over 20 available at our last count. While we can’t cover them all here, we can choose a select few so you can get an idea of the type of thing to expect.
A couple of things to keep in mind though is that this is only intended as an overview of what we think are the most relevant details. Full terms and conditions can be found on the Coral site itself. Furthermore, promotions are often replaced, especially if they are time-sensitive. For instance, the 70/1 Premier League offer we mentioned in the intro is, by its nature, for a limited time only. With that in mind, there’s always a chance that the bonuses have since been changed depending on when you are visiting the site. Nonetheless, we hope this will give you a decent indicator of the type of quality you can expect from the promotions at Coral. Bet £5, Get £20: While £20 does not sound like the biggest welcome offer in the world, it does offer plenty of value. All you need to do is sign up and bet £5 to receive £20 in four £5 free bets. These bets can be wagered on any sports market at minimum odds of 1.50. As far as ways to get people acquainted with a new betting site, you can’t really argue with this one.
4 Plus Acca Bonus: This is a nice and simple bonus here. If you win an accumulator bet, your winnings will receive a 10% bonus up to £100. The minimum overall odds are 2.50. Many other sites have similar promotions with much more convoluted rules regarding percentages. This keeps things straightforward and quite generous too. Free Bet For Every Length: If you bet a win or each way single of £10 or more, you will receive a free bet of £1 per winning length, up to a maximum of £10. Full details of how winning distances are calculated and where to find the official winning distance is available in the terms and conditions on the Coral site.
Coral really do have an excellent set of promotions. All of them are easy to understand, while maintaining a sense of creativity and offering value to players. We will say that their promotions page does have a touch of padding, with some offers being closer to advantages of using the site – such as live streaming, for instance – rather than promotions in the traditional sense. Still, that is a very small criticism for what is otherwise an excellent set of bonuses.
You probably won’t be surprised to learn that Coral doesn’t scrimp when it comes to their betting market. Their A-Z of sports covers a lot of ground between American football and winter sports, with a ton of different sports leagues available on many of the options. To be honest, it’s the kind of variety you would expect from a brand with this much history, recognition and physical sites. They also cover things like e-sports, WWE and television bets for those looking for something a little bit different. There’s even the option to build your bet, giving you more control over your online experience than many competitors.
Coral’s mobile app has been updated, tinkered with and scrutinised to the point where its layout is very hard to find flaws with. In our experience, it was a near-perfect mobile app experience, providing everything from their live streaming to build a bet functions with ease. It’s worth pointing out that having researched customer opinions on the app, some have experienced technical issues. That being said, they seem to be a minority of users, with most responses being positive, and we didn’t have any issues during our use of the app. We can’t speak for everyone but we came away feeling very impressed.
Live Streaming & Virtual Sports
Few betting sites have any kind of live streaming at all. We just thought we would throw that out there for context to give a sense of how impressive Coral’s offering is here. You can live stream sports both on your desktop and on the go wherever you see the live stream icon. This covers several sporting markets, including football, ice hockey, tennis, rugby, snooker and, of course, extensive horse and greyhound racing coverage. However, you do have to bet £1 or more to watch the latter. On top of that, there’s also one of the most extensive and advanced virtuals sections we’ve ever seen. Coral offer state-of-the-art virtual sports including standards like horse racing and football, alongside boxing and tennis. It’s hard to find fault with Coral here.
Payment and Withdrawal Methods
We do have one criticism of Coral here. In order to find the exact information regarding payment and withdrawal methods, you have to search for it through their help section. That’s about it though. And honestly, it only takes a few more seconds. It’s just that the site design would seem a touch more fluid if you could get the most pertinent information within just a couple of clicks. It’s a very, very small issue but considering they’ve been excellent in so many other areas, it’s one we thought was worth mentioning.
In terms of deposit options, there’s debit and credit cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, ECO, Paysafecard and, of course, cash payments made via their physical stores. All of these methods are instant and have a minimum deposit amount of £5, with the exception of PayPal, which has a minimum of £10. The same payment methods are available for withdrawal, with the addition of bank transfer. These are processed between 24 hours and five working days for all payment methods except cash through their stores. Being able to make instant physical instore payments is an advantage Coral have over many of their competitors. There are no minimum amounts or processing fees for any withdrawal method.
Your identification can be verified through several forms of ID, including your passport, ID Cards or more. For more information on this and anything else related to payments, check out their help section. We found it to be extremely informative. Despite having to actively tell the site what you are looking for specifically, this remains one of the easiest ways to get to grips with the banking details on any betting sites we’ve come across.
We’ve already mentioned how highly we rate Coral’s help section. So many sites, including major names, make that a confusing and frustrating experience, but not Coral. This is straightforward and easy to understand information without burying you in jargon and hard to understand terms.
If you do get lost while looking in the help section though, their live chat is available at the bottom of the screen. You can also find a ‘contact us’ link from elsewhere on the site, which will also direct you to the chat alongside the option to get in touch via social media. Our experience with customer service was generally a good one. We got the information we needed. However, there was a little bit of a wait – although to be fair, we were contacting them at peak times. So, once again, it is a criticism but an understandable one, and we don’t think a small wait for a response should affect your site experience too much. Furthermore, this function is available 24/7 and you can’t do much better than that.
Reliability and Security
We don’t think many people doubt Coral in this respect but rest assured that they are fully licensed by both the Government of GIbraltar and by the Gambling Commision in Great Britain. Your data is also securely encrypted and their odds are highly competitive, with a guarantee on both horse and greyhound racing odds. Finally, they take responsible gaming seriously. Help is available to anyone who is concerned that they may have a problem with gambling and users can easily set up their own spending limits on the site.
Casino Welcome Bonus
Alongside the many sports promotions available on Coral, there are also a couple of casino options as well. First and foremost is, of course, the welcome bonus, which gives players a £50 bonus after they stake a minimum of £10. The wagering requirement here is 40x the bonus amount. There are also restrictions on which games qualify towards the bonus amount. While this is a fairly standard set of terms for a casino welcome bonus, it is not as impressive as their sports promotion offerings.
When the criticisms of Coral are so small that they feel insignificant compared to everything that is good with the site, you know you are on to a winner. This is a bookmaker that excels in so many areas: great choice, excellent promotions, around the clock customer service and a brilliant site experience no matter where you are logging in from. There are virtually no betting sites that are completely perfect but there are some that are so overwhelmingly positive, that they come about as close as you can get. This is one of them.
